Capaz

Capaz is a custom boat designed by Bob Perry, one of the prolific and respected sail boat designers around. The boat was designed and built for a gentleman that lived in San Francisco but summered in the Puget Sound area. He wanted a boat that was capable of heading up the coast from San Francisco to his summer home in the spring and make the return voyage in the fall. The coastal waters of Northern California, Oregon, and Washington can be as rough as anywhere, so the boat was built tough and has enough fuel to make the trip under power without any stops if necesary.

Capaz is a 48 foot ketch. For you land lubbers a ketch is a two masted sailing vessel, with the smaller aft mast located forward of the rudder.
